Your sparkgap is set too wide or your power xmfr does not have enoughpower to recharge the cap fast enough. You need more mA of drivecurrent or set your sparkgap closer together. If using nsts just addanother xmfr in parallel and you will have enough current to run it smoothly.

thanks for the reply. I can light my coil at 55%, but it will notRUN anylower than......52%
