Hi Langer,

How much current can be drawn from a MOT will depend on the size
of the microwave that the MOT comes from...a 1000 watt microwave
will have a a larger transformer than a 600 watt one.  The other
thing to consider is that MOTs are not current-limited like NSTs
and OBITs.  Usually some sort of ballast is used to limit the
current which prevents things like power arcing in the spark gap and
is generally safer if something goes wrong.
