My Maxwell suffered a similar fate as well.  I tried submurging
the remains in Mineral oil, but I was getting internal sparking
and the release of some magic smoke.  Waiting on my 942 caps now.

For those searching the archives: MMC is better than Maxwell 37667
for Tesla Coil use!
