Thanks for all your help,
last night about 1:00am I got her up and runnin. I ended up breakin 
one of my caps so now im down to 9 @ 680pf each. i went down to five 
segments with a total gap of about .15. my primary is an inverted 
cone type taped at about 17 turns. Im using an old turntable plate 
for my toroid. i ran it non stop for about 30 minutes last night and 
got about 12" streamers. right now ive got about 2100 turns of 
approx. .01 inches on a two inch former. (from about 3 different 
microwave oven fans.) It was the most awesome sight i ever seen. I 
tried hookin up a 15000v 30 ma transformer to see if i could get 
bigger sparks but they were about the same. thanks for the help once 
again. I am now addicted. Next step....... bigger sparks.
