Hi All:

Might anyone know who can make/supply wireform spirals?

Dimension of approx 3 foot diameter having approx 6 turns...wire to be aluminum or copper rod 1/8 inch diameter.

Kind regards,
Steve
Do you need a helix or a flat spiral? Either way, this is pretty easy to make yourself.. The trick is finding an appropriate form to wrap around. 55 gallon drums and trashcans make nice forms. For a flat spiral, the easiest way is to form it as a helix of about the right size, and then put into a spiral form with guides, like notches cut in radial ribs.

You're looking at something like AWG6 or AWG8 solid copper wire, which is fairly easy to come by (Home Depot, etc.) Likewise, aluminum wire is available in these sizes (it's used for grounding antennas and cable TV, among other things).

3 ft*3.14*6 = about 60-70 ft of wire.. that's going to set you back about $50 for copper.
