Yes, the arcs jump off of each ball (one at a time ) at a equal set distance, I wanted to move the balls outward more , but Im too close to things down here, I may try that when I run it up in da garage..... Maybe I neede 12 " balls ? (ha ,ha ) ,,this is a 4" coil , static copper pipe gap, at APPROX 3kw. ( My clamp on amp meter broke),..know where I can get a good deal on one of thoeses ?..............YEARS AGO, I ran a 5kw coil , 8" down here with a rotary, that was scarry, but I loved it,....please, use hearing protection, Im half deaf now, I use it now, but its to late :-(
