Subject: Ready to Upgrade

Hello All,

After building and tinkering with my SG coil for awhile now I've
grown a little bored (wrong word) with it. I think I'm ready to attempt a
solid state coil. I've learned more about basic electricity than anybody or
book could have ever taught me and very thankful for the experience the SG
provided. That said I'd like to move to the next level. However, I'm not
overly familiar with electronics. I'm hoping that building a solid state
coil would help me change that. I've done a lot of searching and digging
for a simple design that will also have enough power to quench my thirst for
power. I've found a number of schematics but lacking the knowledge of what
the symbols in diagrams mean and functions of each component it's so far
proved to be a little confusing. I was wondering if someone might be able to
point me to a well documented design/schematic so that I could retreat to my
corner for a bit and build said device myself?
