Gold might have some advantage but it would be 
prohibitavley expensive as gold is around $8,000 
more or less a pound.  you would also have to 
find somewhere that sells it in lengths and 
gauges that you need- which would be somewhere 
around 24awg and around half a pound for a 
respectable sized secondary.  all in all this 
dose not sound like a good idea- (i dont even 
know if it would work) too expensive for little 
or probably no benefit.  however you can find 
gold and all sorts of colors and sizes of proper 
magnet wire at this website:
