Any pictures of the damage?

Refrigerator still work?

It is hard to believe the Insurance company doesn't want to pay for the TV. 
Anything with that much power had to induce some wild spikes on the power 
lines and house ground. I'll bet if a neighbors TV quit working when your 
house got hit, they could make a claim and get paid.
