I have some 1.5 and .5 KVA potential transformers in oil. Weight is about 90 pounds. In my more "experimental" days, I ran one of the 1.5s well over 4 kva at times with never a failure.

Hey Gary, probably, yes. The PT's are potted though and not in oil. I have a

non-functional 5kva transformer which is substantially lighter and smaller 
than my 10. I wish the 5 was the wokring one!
