The zinc in brass is a poor conductor.
Zinc-oxide is an even worse conductor, think of why steel is often
galvanized with zinc, in order to prevent the exchange of electrons.
Brass is also more brittle than pure copper which could be an issue while
shaping.
I limit my use of brass in a TC to bolts, rails and safety gaps.
