   CONCEPTUALLY (may not work in practice) putting the faraday
   cage around (each) detector would work: eg wire mesh.

   But!
   Doing this to neihbour's might be 'complicated'.
   Doing this might have 'regulatory issues': eg
   'unauthorized modification of regulated equipment'.
     (hmmmm: might the cage IN FACT deionize flame ions,
      thus disabling the detector?)
   IF the detector has power/signal wires, they would need
   'handling' (filtering) at cage wall.
