I ran a single bushing on a small coil 4" dia. It is a 'mini pig ' 1.5 kva/14400 . Yes ,I also grounded the inside pri turn and secondary along with the case of the little pig to its own ground rod outside the shop and worked well for me.
Yes, I was a little fearful at first, but just connect the case to its own ground , not house ground , and should be fine
