You still need to put a large capacitor in parallel to the line from filter to coil driver. As someone else mentioned this should be at least as large as the capacitor in the driver. Filter would have to be able to handle the total line current due to extra capacitor and coil driver. Dooable but a little expensive and complicated.

No relation to any of the sellers. They are also often found at Hamfests, if there are any in your area.

Much easier to use a prepackaged line filter than to try to construct one from scratch by yourself.

Using RF bypass caps as Bert and Bill suggested in addition to the line filter will help as well.

When I powered the lightning screen with it, which is really just a lop-sided Capacitor, it really back fired! took out a fluorescent ballast on the same circuit and fried the mains outlet it was plugged into! Luckily the mains outlet was remote from the wall outlet, like an outlet box with a cord which was plugged to the wall. I tried to find something on [Corcoms] as some suggested but could nothing. What I was hoping was that someone could supply me with a diagram with component values, that I could build, on the order of the terry filter.
