Re: [TCML] 810 tube coil - update

Hi - Chris, Thanks. In the video the spark was attaching at about 15-16 inches. I believe a finer and finer level of tuning of the grid circuit and tank frequency may yield better efficiency. The Variac is wired for 140V and I'm turning it up to about 70%. Pegging the meter? :) it's just a meter but 2100V and 300ma is getting close to the limit of the tube and before I go for the gusto and turn it up more I should make sure the tuning is as good as it can get.

Hi Dave,

I see your coil is performing much better now. Your coil also looks even
nicer now with the changes of some components. It was nice before but now
really good looking. What is your current spark length now at I think you
said 2100V @300ma ? Just curious also, what approximate percentage or
voltage on the variac plate for the input variac voltage are you at? Said
you had more, but limited by plate current pegging. Just wondering. Also is
it a 0-120V or a
0-140V variac?

Again, looks great.
