I have no clue what AWG is but I recommend wire with a diameter of 0,4-0,6 cm. I used 0,5 cm. I actually buyed the wire at an online shop for refridgerator cooler. It’s hollow from inside which normally liquid runs through. Makes it really easy to bend in a flat spiral. But in US you can find it easily.
