Re: [TCML] NetFlix N. Tesla Doc. [The new one]

Listen as an Older guy at 64 I have seen very little information come from TV about N Tesla. The best for me as a young boy was a trip to Griffith Observatory where I saw a TESLA coil. IT gave 1/2 inch purple sparks from the screws on cover plates outside of the glass that the coil was behind I was hooked. For more than 60 years now. The book is required reading  "Lighting in his Hand" O Neal. Like Burning man, a must, a life changer. Dr. Megavolt could be seen there also. Read all the issues of the TCBA and more you will never catch up. For a long time I had lost hope but like the 60s the times they are a changing ! they must & do. keep the coil going we may have lost the CRT boob tube & the auto Ignition coil the TV flyback. But some new old stuff is here to fill the gaps solid state. Oh & BTW before I forget the induction motors when I worked the 1000s of feet yes 1000 at north Americas then largest beverage plant 80 to 100 million cases of cans or plastic bottles per year from 1986 to 2017 my time there. Conveyor motors compressor motors VFDs by the 100s so much stuff. How a chunk of heavy steel can move with just the invisible power of a rotary field from a 3 phase system. Like when a 300HP 3500RPM ammonia compressor induction motor kicks in & loads up or the 600 PSI blow molder compressor motors start up with a 24" piston 3 stage. The best was in the 70s I helped build the space shuttle simulator it was to simulate liftoff 2-300 HP induction motors 60 gal a minute 3000PSI but across the line. When they started it they tripped a main breaker lost there data storage building power & were very pissed about it.

Unfortunately, all of these recent cable TV programs that I have seen about
Tesla are just sensationalist garbage. The titles of the programs usually
tip you off. They are full of hokum, claptrap, dubious "experts", and
conspiracy theories. They rarely mention his important accomplishments such
as the AC induction motor. None of them have been worth watching.

On the other hand, PBS has produced a few excellent documentaries about
Tesla. I highly recommend those.

Tesla, or versions of his story, are all over CATV.  Someone
tried to get $250k for what they believed was one of
Tesla's prototype motors, on Pawn Stars.  one set of
8hows ran on DSC DEC>Jan.  Another is running now,
10pm fridays, 'science' channel. (check local listings...
8)>>).  I've been. studying Tesla for 60 odd years,
and decline to fill this list with picking apart
TV trivia.  It would be nice to have a good, accurate telling.
