It’s been slow because we’re transplanting from Virginia to Colorado
Springs. I am working with the IEEE Pikes Peak chapter (Senior Member)
we’re going for a milestone placard for Tesla Colorado Springs laboratory
work. That kind of became a springboard for a new Magnifier that I’m
building that’s based on 21st-century technology rather than oh let’s build
something like Tesla did in 1899. Totally new geometry based on induction
heating principles may provide more information as we get closer to getting
something done. This thing is so novel that I’m delaying discussing it
until I have a paper written that may go through the IEEE. There have been
cases where someone suggested they were first in innovating something,
right after it’s disclosed, and I despise intellectual dishonesty. I have
10 patents so I know what Tesla went through.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been working with ABB electrification as a
contractor, my role is senior test engineer. I’ve been designing installing
and commissioning high power electrical equipment up to 2.5 MW that
includes coordinating breakers ground fault systems and assisting with
equipment testing UPS is up to one megawatt. Now working on medium voltage
products that are in the pipeline so yeah if someone wants to build to
really high power Tesla Magnifier I think I’m qualified to build a power
system.
All kidding aside everyone stay safe and remember an arc flash event is a
random event. You may be lucky 999 times have 1000 but that one time you’ve
just won the lottery and it’s a bad win. Always, always wear your PPE
always watch out for your coworkers.
