appearently the extra wire affords so much electrical stress to the delicate
windings that it induces failuire. but i guess on tesla tanks circuits where
the wiring is so short, it really ought not matter...but when you have a
neon tube streching around 90 feet of a builing then an extra 30 feet might
make a difference.
