motor varia

Not sure if this applies but:

If RF is riding (conducted, by induction) on the leads to a
motor, grounding the case is of minimal effect in keeping it
out. Filters, suitably rated for the currents, need to be in
the line, and CLOSE to the motor. Preferably in a metal case,
bonded to the motor frame. (Filters can REAL easily fail to
help, whether intended for noise reduction or protection (as
here) if the RF can 'radiate around' them.)

Commonly motors had a 'thermal cutout', aka 'thermal fuse'
built in. Its intended to prevent fire, by opening on
over temperature (which may not involve overcurrent, as such.)
If the motor can be checked its worth a look. There are, as
	noted, other 'fixable' fails.
