My opinion of Brown's stuff is that it should be taken with a large
dose of salt. An acquaintance of mine once brought in a device built
to a (necessarily!) incomplete recipe from some weird science website
which was electrically a hopelessly insulated series capacitor of the
type Brown describes (but aesthetically a gem) which weighed a
veritable ton. Nothing electrostatic would have lifted this thing off
the ground even had it been capable of withstanding potentials of
more than a few hundred volts.
