hi all,
        i have finally got the marx working reliably(its bound to go pop now
lol). i built a cockcroft walton with 4 10kv 3.3nf russian doorknobs(which
needed potting in silicone due to arc over) and four 9kv 300ma microwave
oven diodes.
i have some 30kv 400a hocky puck diodes on the way though.
the protection is 6 600kohm 3.5kv resistors with a surge rating of 9kv each.
the marx is 8 stage. 1.5nf a stage with 1.2meg between each stage.
at present iv had 180mm but need to open gaps further to full charging
voltage.
