Thought up of a few extra =D

9. You laugh at most science fiction weapons in movies, saying "I've done better".
10. You've gotten used to being shocked so many times, you can get hit by lightning and "shrug it off"
11. You can name 50 relatively normal people, what kinds of HV toys they have, what power levels they operate at and what kind of sparks (or whatever) they produce, yet can't name 5 sports players to save your life.
12. The guys at Radio Shack never have the parts you're looking for.
13. The guys at the hardware store have your parts, but have never heard of them being used in that particular way before.
14. The equivalent power in all of your combined microwave oven parts is enough to flash-cook a full-sized cow in 15 seconds.
15. Airports have trouble communicating with their planes whenever you're in the mood for running some tests on your new device.

For my case, I can add something that really happened:

7. When you enter stores that sell plastics and test the plastic cups
for suitability for Leyden jars and insulators by rubbing them in
your hair to see if they get electrized.

8. When, noticing the very dry air in an airplane and how easily the
plastic cups get electrized, you try to improvise a static machine
using items of your dinner.
