I recently bought a 34" x 8.5" spun aluminum toroid from Resonance
Research.  Cost  $510 plus shipping.  Due to the UPS strike, the
shipping turned out to be a substantial fraction of the toroid cost. 
However, the toroid is well constructed and seamless.  I believe the
cost  is well below that from Ross Engineering (< 1/2).  D.C. was
helpful and very professional (as would be expected).  they do have a
variety of sizes, including a 48" x 12" monster.  I recommend this
source.
