Hi all,

A three phase induction motor cannot be used as a 3 phase alternator.
Also, the balanced T or Scott connection requires a 3 phase input to obtain
2 phase output.  One oft overlooked source of three phase power is an
automobile alternator.  Many alternators can put out 80 amperes at 12 VDC.
Not alot of power, but not too shabby.  Its easy to remove/bypass the
rectifier bridge on the back of the unit.  Not sure how much 3 phase power
is needed, but for small stuff, it works pretty good.  Hope this helps.
