    I would think that IPA would be too volatile and flammable to use as a
coolant for a spark gap.  Why not use a 50-50 mix of water and antifreeze?
If you are concerned about the electrical conductivity of the coolant, then
IPA would likely be a bad choice anyway as most varieties would have some
water in it. 
    I think the best choice would be some kind of low viscosity oil(maybe
something like 3-in-1 oil).  
    Just a thought.
