Another possible source is JC Whithey.  From a recent catalog:

Blue silicone-covered 8mm wire with 100% copper core. 30ft for $16.95

Heavy-duty 7mm, 16 gague tinned copper cable is sheathed with black
neoprene. 30ft for $9.95 and 100ft/$29.95

I haven't tried either, but the second item sounds a lot like the
spark plug wire on lawn mowers, etc..  If you need a catalog, see
