   alright

i figure according to the puncture voltage of air (240 vpm ) 2/10 of an
inch is more than enough space between two plates but the voltage still
jumps over on a 15 kv xfrmer at 60 hz. ive already accounted for the ac
by doubling the space. i wanna get this figured out before i go dipping
my plates in a vat of oil. am i missing something? it seems like the
breakdown of oil/air/poly etc. is too low
for usp mineral oil at 200 vpm on a 15 kv tranny in a tank circuit with
nothing but oil as a dielectric how far apart should these damn plates
be

thanks in advance
