Here's a theory to mull over: you could buy a box of epsolm salt (or some
other desiccant) and bake it dry in an oven at 300F or so. Let the epsolm
salt cool put it in a cloth or paper bag and seal it in a trash bag with
your coil form.  


Heating would probably pull out the moisture faster, but this would not have
the risk of warping or setting afire your coil form.
