RE: Salt Water

Hi Daniele & All,

The easiest one I have heard about is to take clear
beer bottles and put them into a 5 gallon bucket.
Fix up a batch of concentrated salt water solution.
pour the solution both inside and outside the bottles,
up to about the point where the bottle start to move
inward. Pour some type of oil about 1/4" of it into
all the bottles and outside them. put a wire into
each of the bottles then gang them up for one side
of the cap. Then put one wire on the outside of the
bottles, that is the other terminal. Then maybe
hook them up to some bolts coming through the top
of the 5 gallon bucket.

I have never tried this, however I have made foil
and salt water beer bottle caps. But they do take
a bit of time. If I ever build another salt water
cap the above method is what I am going to use.

I apologize for not remembering and not having the
time right now to go look for where I got this idea
from. It sounds like a sound approach though.

I may put more than one wire outside the bottles
placed at different locations just to try and
help keep the losses down.

Cheers,
Bill Parn
