in a microwave there is nothing connected in series with the MOT to reduce
current. The only thing limiting the current is the resistance of the
magnetron. However, the MOT does have a lil internal current limitation.
Many people increase the limiting by putting another shorted MOT in series
with the MOT. I do it with large heating coils.
