Hi. if its  a typical bodine motor one pair of wires goes to the brushes and
the other pair goes to the field. it is a series motor and will run on dc or
ac just like many drills and etc. so one field wire connects to the brush
and line goes across the other brush and field wire. I'm sorry i cant
remember the colors. reverse either the brush or field wires to reverse
direction. cul brian
