Hi Duncan,

I modeled my big coil as is and with the filter resistors changed to 10K
and parralleled with 250mH chokes. The filter respones are at:

http://hot-streamer-dot-com/temp/Dfilter.gif

The power to the streamer load goes from 149.5 watts to 163.2 watts.
The filter loss drops from 81 watts down to 15 watts.
The streamer length would increae 5%

It really seems to work well. All I would need are 10K 25 Watt filter
resistors and two 250mH 15kV 30mA RF chokes.

Theoretically, the filter resistors would have to dissipate the energy
stored in the filter caps per each cycle. No more, no less...

This appears to be a great idea for low loss NST filters!! More work to be
done here...

Cheers,

	Terry
