Yes you can make your own tubes. I have made them with porcelin spacers
clamped together. A vacuun pump will pull nearly enough vacuum if you use a
little Magnesium granuals heat vaporized to kill the last little bit of air
the pump dosent remove. Your frequency is low so you dont nead to wory about
shape to much. Its a lot of trouble, but fun to do. An 833 tube is a lot
less trouble and cheeper.
