I would like to see this trick!
  A wave form unit shows the overall peaks in wave strength as a whole
instead of taking a slice of the output as an scope does. If it was as
simple as you say then there would be no need for a wave form receiver?
I had a lucky chance to see a small tc's output on a wave form unit and
you would be surprised at the number of side node frequencies that are
generated.
Some day i will own a wave form unit, it will add very much to what e
think we understand about tc discharge.
