Being on a HazMat Team I would recommend placing the contraption in a
kiddie pool or otherwise
containing a possible spill. Having a goodly amount of baking soda
around to neutralize a spill.
Total ventilation (like outdoors), as neutralizing the acid can produce
sulphur dioxide and hydorgen sulphide , even sulphuric acid fumes
themselves aren't pleasant. and what we call PPE (personal protective
eqipment) when handling or cleaning up the sulphuric acid. Glasses,
rubber gloves, maybe a lab apron to protect clothing. If it does get on
the skin, remove any clothing that has been affected (it will continue
to burn your skin), flush immediately with a lot of water and
neutralize with baking soda (solution).

And you though HV was dangerous.

If there is a spill that is larger than you think you can handle, please
call HazMat.
