Hi, i used 1/8 by 1/4 inch copper strap to make the primary on the #3 tesla
and it has worked just fine. I have some 1/8 by 1/2 copper strap from diesel
starter windings and will use that for my next coil. Many of the old "fair
Tesla's" that i have seen pictures of quite often used brass strap for a
primary. cul brian f.
