Re TSG Observations

John, thanks for your advice re my TSG/ static gap comparisons.
With a bit more tinkering I did end up getting the sync TSG to equal the 
static gap, the electrodes overheat very quickly, vacuum cleaner suction on 
the gap helped with this.
I can drive the TSG ignition coil driver transistor directly with an old 
valve audio signal generator, it’s useful as RF does not get into it and 
effect the output.
At about 600Hz (36,000 BPM) things really take off with an impressive spark 
output for the power in.
But the TSG noise level is excessive for suburbia where I live.
Don’t know if anyone has made a successful audio noise suppression chamber 
for a TSG?
