Actually, Tesla's proposed "teleforce" 'death ray' aka 'death beam' aka
'peace ray' is properly described as a macroscopic charged particle-beam
projector. Over the years quite a bit has been written about the weapon,
including a very descriptive 17-page typewritten text from the 1930s on
Tesla's own office stationary. A 40-entry teleforce bibliography that I
created for NIKOLA TESLA'S TELEFORCE & TELEGEODYNAMICS PROPOSALS is posted
at www.tfcbooks-dot-com/mall/more/381tele.htm#BIBLIOGRAPHY.

Tesla proposed the acceleration of minute particles of mercury or tungsten
to the prodigious velocity of 16,130 meters per second (Mach 48) and higher
using electrostatic repulsion. In all likelihood Tesla himself was not
provided with an opportunity to complete the device.
