Connect your NST in parallel with the spark gap.  Then connect your cap off
one terminal of the spark gap and in series with the outer turn of the
primary.  The inner turn goes to the other side of the spark gap.  Use 4 or
6 AWG welding cable (fine stranded) in this high current part of the
circuit. (local welding supply shop).
