Hello all,
Red glyptal is what we use to coat some motor windings after the varnishing
process as an extra protection against moisture. I don't think it is much
good by itself.
I dip my coils in the varnish tank and let them air dry. Two or three dips
gives a good thick coat. It is polyester electric motor varnish and I have
coated three coils with this method and have had no problems.
Regards
Claude.
