Of course you are correct.  There's no free lunch, ...unless you can get
someone else to pay the bill.  What we now know as the Schumann Resonance is
the frequency Tesla was tuning his system to.  The Schumann Resonance is
ultimately powered by the Sun.  I don't know if Tesla accounted for this
extra energy input or not, but it would seem that if the Earth were brought
to a pure resonance with standing waves and the discharges between the
Ionosphere and Earth were naturally attracted to the standing wave peaks,
then more energy would be input from the Sun than from the main timekeeping
station at Wardencliffe.

I'm only defending Tesla's theory.  I'm not saying it is a wise system for
powering our energy grid.  Our present power grid would probably not be
compatible with such a system.  Further, controlled electrical resonance in
the Earth's surface may have other repercussions that we are not yet aware
of.

I won't go any further with this on this list, as it is off topic.  The
point I originally made was that different coil geometries do affect the
action of electrons.  And if you agree with the concept of whacking the
Earth's ground charge with flat spiral, tall solenoid combination secondary
coils (whether with a sledgehammer or a tack hammer) then you seem to be in
agreement with the overall importance of coil geometry.

Since the goal of this list is merely to produce longer sparks, flat spiral
coils are not the way to go (unless they are used to synchronize to the
Earth's resonance and overdrive the solenoid coil to extreme breakout.  Now
that's something I hadn't thought of before.)
