Re: Dryer duct toroid?

Hi,

I have made two toroids in this manner - in both cases, I have used as much
ducting as possible, giving the closest 'ridge' spacing - and is easier to
handle.

I formed the toroid around an upside down bowl of some sort (a biggish
mixing bowl), then applied a ring of tape to artound the circumference of
the toroid to hold it in, then just taped one side of the toroid (the top
as it were) which gives the ducting some rigidity, then turn the toroid the
other way up, and do the bottom. The bowl can then be removed, leaving a
rigid toroid. After this, a little extra tape here and there where
necessary to cover any places where the tape has sunk ito the ridges -
again the more ducting, the narrower the ridges, the neater it looks.

James
