New op-isolators

Original poster: "K. C. Herrick" <kchdlh@xxxxxxx>

This came to my notice in Electronic Design mag. A new TI op-isolator, the ISO721 for TTL levels and the ISO721M with CMOS levels. They have these spec's:

4000-V(peak) Isolation
UL 1577, IEC 60747-5-2 (VDE 0884, Rev. 2)
IEC 61010-1 and CSA Approved
50 kV/µs Transient Immunity Typical
Signaling Rate 0 Mbps to 150 Mbps
Low-Propagation Delay
Low Pulse-Width Distortion
High-Electromagnetic Immunity
Low-Input Current Requirement
Failsafe Output
Drop-In Replacement for Most Opto and Magnetic Isolators

Could be very useful for sstc signal-coupling. They do require, however, 5V supplies on both sides of the barrier.
