Definitely do NOT use a drain pipe.  While the pipe may be metal coming
from the sink, most drain systems use PVC pipe for most of the length,
so the connection to earth ground would be lost.  A cold water supply
pipe would have a better chance of being copper all the way to the
earth, but even then, it may not be.
