They have pure tungsten,  thoriated,  and some newer types for those 
who worry about the alpha particles emanating from thorium,  with two 
different lanthanide element...If I remember correctly,  Lanthanum 
and  Cerium.   both are supposed to be about as good as thorium for 
welding...don't know how they'd do for TC's.

Thoriated rods are better because of their increased electrical
properties.
Hopefully the ones you are getting have that in them.
