Hi Bart:

The regions in question  have been divided by wire length into (n) regions
of equal wire length. Thus they are forced by geometry to have the same
volume, surface area, height.

Energy passing through each partition in an inductor must be the same or
energy would accumulate;  not possible when the system exhibits
periodicity.

I hope that our next posting on self resonance will help clarify things a
bit more.
