[TCML] RE: Terry filter - are banana plugs okay?



It really doesn't matter what kind of connector you use, as the current here is modest.  The low-ish voltage rating of banana plugs only applies if you try to mount the jacks on a grounded sheet metal chassis.  If the jacks are spaced far enough away from anything conductive, you can use any voltage.

I personally prefer Fast-on connectors, as they're more compact and versatile mounting-wise.  Not good if they need to be frequently unmated.  See my Terry filter at http://www.laushaus.com/tesla/protection.htm
