Thank You Professor; I will be making some longer spacers, I think rather than adding discs. The spacers I have are 10.5mm . I found a good tool for quenching the spark gaps, My wife's hair dryer set on the"air only" setting produces a very high velocity concentrated stream, works perfect!

You can increase the top load and use more turns, obtaining more power too. Note that if you just increase the spacing between the disks in the top loads the capacitance is increased almost in the same way as if more disks are added. Distributed capacitances are proportional to linear dimensions.
