Hi John,
I'm going to post when you contacted me direct.
Some good info to know again for me and others.
Dave will have to decide which of the 3 different ways to go.
So with careful tuning of the 810 straight LS despite tube ratings will
work.
Thanks John.
Quoting me and John:
"And of course I do
like the use of staccato pulsing in general :)"
You made me smile :-)
Have a good day John.
Going to get back to work on current 3-500zg coil project that I am working
on right now.

Hi Chris,
I think I mixed up your recommendation for the 810 with your recommendation
for the 833. I wasn't reading carefully enough. My bad. In any case I
consider
the 810 tube to be quite strong too. From the work I did it seemed able
to handle about as much power as an 833. Surely I was pressing it beyond
the normal specs but the graphite plate gave it strong output capability.
I obtained easily 20" sparks from an 810 using level shifting. I agree
that
for the 811 tube it's probably best without level shifting. And of course
I do
like the use of staccato pulsing in general :)
